What’s “the compound”?
The Compound, located in Minden, ON was built as an Airsoft & Paintball facility, allowing enthusiasts to have a home in Ontario. We approached the owners with the idea of having the compound host the Waypoint overland community campout since they are right in the Minden Hills region, allowing access to many popular off-road trails and car trip locations and they offer a beautiful site for vendors to set up and display their wares and an area where demonstrations can be set up for various activities. There’s even an on-site unpaved road area where you can try out new gear, get the feel for what your vehicle is like off the paved roads and allow you to gain confidence. There’s also a route that’s a little more challenging for those that want to try to push their skills. All in all, the compound allows the community campout to find a home in the Minden region and we can’t wait till you get a chance to check it out!
